What are the download requirements?
The App is free to download, although your network provider might charge for the internet connection. You will need our login details to access the content.
Where can I find the Investment Outlook App?
It can be accessed via the Apple App StoreSMand the Google Play StoreSM. Please search under ‘HSBC’ or 'Investment Outlook'
Where can I find the login details?
The App is for HSBC Private Bank clients and the username and password details can be found within the printed Investment Outlook brochure. Alternatively, please contact your Relationship Manager for further details.
When are the login details required?
The username and password are required for the first login during any one calendar year. At the start of the following calendar year, when the first edition is available, a new password will be required. This will be available in the corresponding printed brochure edition(s).
My registration has expired
By entering the login details on first download, you are agreeing to receive all further editions until the end of that calendar year. On the availability of the first edition of the following year, a new password will be required, which will once more provide access to a further year's editions.
Which countries is the App available in?
Currently, it can be downloaded from the following regions:

What languages are available?
Currently in English only although other language versions may be made available in the future
Is the App available for mobile phones as well as tablets?
The App has been purposely designed for tablets only.
Why is the content fixed in a landscape format when viewed? (i.e. not switching between portrait and landscape automatically depending on the angle the tablet is held at)
The App has been designed to showcase the content in the best available format and therefore stays in the landscape position to enable graphs, charts and smaller text to be displayed and viewed with greater ease.
How large is file size of the App and subsequent content?
The app itself is small and quick to download. The quarterly editions are likely to be around 160MB in size. As an example, a 10MB broadband connection can download this in approximately 5 minutes.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to view the content?
No. Once the App is downloaded, the edition content is stored and therefore available to view anywhere with no need for internet connection.
Why won't the Investment Outlook App download for me?
A likely cause could be the strength of your WIFI internet connection as this affects the speed of any download. Please keep in mind that a constant and strong internet connection is best. Also, if the internet connection is lost, please note that the download will either resume or need to be started over.
I have a problem with my tablet device
We recommend that you liaise directly with your tablet manufacturer to rectify any specific issues not relating to the Investment Outlook App itself.
